We’re thrilled to share that Team: Do The Thing have officially completed their extraordinary 3,200-mile Atlantic rowing challenge — a huge milestone in support of Make-A-Wish UK.
Earlier this year, we shared their story as they set out to take on one of the world’s toughest endurance challenges: rowing across the Atlantic Ocean completely unsupported. No engine. No sails. Just determination, teamwork, and an inspiring purpose.
Now, after weeks at sea battling physical exhaustion, unpredictable weather, and relentless conditions, the team have successfully reached the finish line — an incredible achievement that deserves huge recognition.
The Atlantic crossing is widely regarded as one of the most demanding endurance challenges on the planet, with teams rowing continuously for weeks, often in two-hour shifts, facing sleep deprivation and extreme conditions.
For Team: Do The Thing, every mile rowed was driven by a powerful mission: to raise £200,000 for Make-A-Wish UK, helping grant life-changing wishes for critically ill children.
Their journey is a reminder of what can be achieved through resilience, teamwork, and a commitment to making a difference.
This incredible achievement hasn’t gone unnoticed.
The team’s journey has been picked up by mainstream media, including coverage from the BBC: Rower completes 'bonkers' 3,200-mile challenge
Seeing their story recognised on a national level highlights not only the scale of the challenge, but also the importance of the cause they are supporting.
Although the row is complete, the mission continues.
There is still time to support Team: Do The Thing and help them reach their fundraising goal for Make-A-Wish UK: Donate via their JustGiving page
Every donation — big or small — helps bring hope, joy, and unforgettable experiences to children and families facing incredibly difficult circumstances.

We’re especially proud to have followed this journey through our relationship with Dunelm, where Matt Eckett, husband of rower Nicky Allen, works as a Project Manager.
At A&F Sprinklers, supporting our partners and the causes that matter to them is a key part of who we are. You can learn more about our values and approach on our About Us page.
Completing a transatlantic row is an achievement very few people can claim — and doing so in support of such an important cause makes it even more meaningful.
To everyone involved in Team: Do The Thing: congratulations on an outstanding accomplishment. Your journey has inspired many, and your impact will be felt by countless children and families across the UK.
