A&F Sprinklers is pleased to announce the completion of our Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Assessment for the 2022/23 reporting period (April 2022 – March 2023), marking an important step in our ongoing sustainability journey.
Conducted in line with the internationally recognised GHG Protocol methodology, the assessment provides a comprehensive overview of our carbon footprint across Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions. This includes emissions from our direct operations, energy usage, and wider value chain.
The results show that the vast majority of our emissions fall within Scope 3, particularly from purchased goods and services, which account for approximately 89% of total emissions. Travel and commuting represent a further 9.7%, while energy and waste make up a relatively small proportion.
This assessment has given us a clear, data-driven understanding of where our environmental impact lies. While our direct operational emissions remain relatively low, the findings highlight the importance of working closely with our supply chain and engaging our workforce to drive meaningful reductions.
Building on these insights, we are committed to:
This work aligns with global efforts to reduce emissions in line with the Paris Agreement, which requires significant year-on-year reductions.
