Project Manager

Rochdale | Full-time | Salary: Up to £70,000 (based on experience)

Join a Team That Puts People First

A&F Sprinklers has been protecting lives and property since 1986. As a rapidly growing, employee-owned business, we’re proud of our people-first culture and commitment to excellence. With your help, we’ll continue to grow, innovate, and deliver outstanding fire protection solutions across the UK.

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a 360° role where you’ll manage the full lifecycle of automatic sprinkler system projects - from design to installation - ensuring they’re delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of construction projects, ensuring the efficient design, procurement, and installation of automatic sprinkler systems. Your role will involve close collaboration across departments, with support from our design team, Health & Safety department, purchasing and commercial teams, and in-house site management. We are committed to a true teamwork approach, working together to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards while fostering strong relationships with clients and suppliers.

You'll oversee compliance with essential industry standards such as BSEN 12845, NFPA, and FM Global, conducting regular site audits, participating in handover and coordination meetings, and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.

You'll also coordinate with our Health & Safety department to oversee risk assessments, method statements, and COSHH documentation, ensuring accuracy in as-fitted drawings and project records. Collaboration is essential—you’ll engage with internal teams, mentor junior engineers, and strengthen client relationships to drive repeat business. Additionally, you'll play an active role in company initiatives, training programs, and ongoing improvement efforts.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in a similar sprinkler project management role
  • Leadership skills
  • Knowledge of BSEN 12845, NFPA, FM Global standards
  • Experience in AutoCAD 2D and hydraulic calculation software (e.g. FHC)

  • A customer-focused mindset and attention to detail
